Instantly recognisable with their distinctive sound, UB40 will be appearing in Southampton for a rare concert this Summer on the Common.
This picnic-style concert signals the end of an extensive worldwide tour during which the West Midlands-based band have performed in Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Canada and USA. This will be followed by an extensive tour of the UK forests and other outdoor venues.
For more than 20 years UB40 have enjoyed the job of popularising reggae around the globe. In the process they continue to give enormous pleasure to a public too vast to be defined by age, generation, tribe or fashion. Since supporting the Pretenders national tour in 1980, UB40's popularity has soared resulting in numerous albums, compilations and memorable worldwide hits; Red Red Wine being the first to secure an American number One.
